Meet Stefanie
NONE OF IT WAS WASTED,
For most of my life, I thought my story had a lot of unrelated chapters.
I spent 25 years in the beauty industry, working behind the chair and eventually owning my own salon.
I built a boutique fitness studio.
I studied nutrition, fitness, behaviour change, coaching, counselling, image and ministry — collecting more than 30 certifications along the way.
I lost nearly 100 pounds.
I spent years immersed in the world of diets, fitness and body transformation.
I built businesses. Lost things. Started over. Reinvented myself more than once.
And for a long time, I thought those were simply different seasons of my life.
Now I understand they were all preparing me for this one.
I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO SPEND YEARS TRYING TO FIX YOURSELF.
My own relationship with my body began long before Fierce Figures.
I know what it's like to live in extremes.
To lose the weight and still believe there was something else to fix.
To meticulously track food and follow the plan — until life inevitably got in the way.
To collect more information, try another approach, recommit, fall off and promise myself I'd start again.
I became very good at transformation.
What I hadn't learned was how to simply live.
For years, I believed the answer was more discipline, more knowledge, more optimization and a better plan.
So I learned.
And learned.
And learned some more.
Nutrition. Fitness. Behaviour change. Coaching. Personal development. Counselling. Faith.
I poured tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours into understanding how people change.
And eventually, all that knowledge brought me to a surprisingly simple realization:
I didn't need another "thing."
I needed to learn how to steward myself.
THE SHIFT WASN'T ABOUT CARING LESS.
It was about caring differently.
I stopped treating my body like a problem waiting to be solved.
I stopped believing every season required another dramatic reinvention.
I started building my life around principles instead of chasing the perfect "plan".
I learned that discipline doesn't have to mean punishment.
That simplicity isn't laziness.
That flexibility isn't failure.
That taking care of myself could create more capacity for my life instead of consuming it.
And most importantly, I began to understand my health through the lens of stewardship.
My body wasn't an idol.
It wasn't an enemy.
And it wasn't an endless improvement project.
It was something God had entrusted to me to care for well.
That changed everything.
AND THEN THERE WERE THE WOMEN.
For 25 years, women sat in my chair.
They came for their hair, of course.
But if you've ever spent a few hours in a stylist's chair, you know that's rarely all we talk about.
I heard about marriages and divorces.
Babies and empty nests.
Career changes and heartbreak.
Weight gained. Weight lost.
Confidence found and confidence shaken.
Women sat across from me during some of the most beautiful and difficult seasons of their lives.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I'd spent decades doing far more than hair.
I'd spent 25 years learning women.
Listening.
Asking questions.
Watching them become.
And becoming alongside them.
The longer I did this work, the more I felt God pulling me toward something I'd sensed for years:
There would come a time when my work behind the chair would end — and the conversations would continue.
Fierce Figures is the continuation of those conversations.
WHY FIERCE FIGURES EXISTS
I created Fierce Figures for the woman who is tired of making wellness harder than it needs to be.
The woman who knows a lot — perhaps too much — and still can't seem to make any of it stick.
The woman exhausted by conflicting advice, endless optimization and the feeling that she's always one better version of herself away from finally being enough.
The woman who wants to feel strong, capable and confident in her body without making her body her full-time job.
And the woman who knows there is more God is asking her to do with her life than obsess over food, weight and what she sees in the mirror.
I want to help give her that capacity back.
Not by handing her another rigid formula.
By teaching her how to think.
How to discern.
How to nourish herself.
How to build strength.
How to create rhythms that support her actual life.
How to keep promises to herself.
How to adjust when circumstances change.
And ultimately, how to lead herself without needing another expert to constantly tell her what to do.
THIS IS THE WORK.
Today, Fierce Figures brings together everything those seemingly unrelated chapters taught me.
The precision I learned in beauty.
The strength I learned through fitness.
The principles I learned through nutrition.
The understanding I gained through coaching and behaviour change.
The perspective I gained through my own mistakes.
The wisdom women entrusted to me across thousands of conversations.
And the foundation underneath all of it:
My faith.
I'm not interested in helping women become obsessed with wellness.
I'm interested in helping them become well enough to get on with living.
To have energy for their families.
Capacity for their calling.
Strength for the decades ahead.
Confidence to take up appropriate space in their own lives.
Freedom to enjoy dinner, travel, celebrations and ordinary Tuesdays without mentally calculating whether they've been “good.”
And the self-trust to know that when life inevitably gets messy, they don't need to start over.
They know how to return.
None of it was wasted.
Not the weight.
Not the diets.
Not the failures.
Not the education.
Not the businesses.
Not the years behind the chair.
Not the seasons I couldn't understand while I was living them.
God has a remarkable way of using what we thought were disconnected chapters to prepare us for work we couldn't yet see.
Fierce Figures is mine.
And if you've found yourself here wondering whether your best years are behind you — or whether all the starting, stopping, learning and becoming in your own life has somehow been wasted —
I don't believe it has.
There is still a fire in you.
We're just done burning you out to prove it.
It's time to tend it well.
Welcome to Fierce Figures.
I'm glad you're here.
